Feline Leukemia Positive Kittens Available for Adoption

This page is dedicated to a litter of kittens that we recently found out was feline leukemia positive.  These babies were rescued from the Granville County Animal Shelter when they were approximately 3 weeks old with their mother Dot.  Dot was tested prior to rescue and she was found to be negative for feline leukemia.  This litter had a weak positive test for FIV and were being retested when the feline leukemia came up positive instead (all were negative at 8 weeks old).  The unbelievable part of this is that Dot their mom has been tested numerous times and she is still negative?  Confirmatory testing at an outside lab was done and again the results were positive.  This all happened the day these babies went to the vet to be neutered.  During this the vet performed a IFA test to confirm feline leukemia.  Again this test came back positive. We have decided that these babies all which are very healthy deserve a chance.  Cats with feline leukemia can live years without any issues.  We are actively seeking sanctuary for these darlings.  We are also looking for anyone who does not have cats currently or already has a feline leukemia positive kitty that would like to adopt one or more of these cuties.  All these babies are playful and so sweet! We ask that you send out positive thoughts and prayers as we start the search for a forever home for Doc, Ducky, Dash, Dilly and Droopy.
